Now that the weather is settling down, well it is here in North Yorkshire, the sun is shining as I type this newsletter. It is one of those crisp mornings where you can feel that winter is loosening its grip, even if it hasn’t quite packed its bags yet.

The turmoil that was 2025 is now well behind us and we can start to look forward to a calmer year in 2026. Last year seemed to bring wave after wave of uncertainty and shifting energies, and many people told me that they felt as though they were constantly trying to find their footing.

But nature, as always, has its own quiet way of restoring balance.

The miracle that we call Mother Nature is beginning to show her colours once again. Admittedly we are a little slower here in the North compared to the Home Counties, but the snowdrops are already out, and the daffodils won’t be far behind.

It is always fascinating to watch this transition. One moment the world appears grey and dormant, and then almost overnight small signs of life begin to appear everywhere. The sap is starting to rise in the trees, buds are forming on branches that looked completely lifeless only weeks ago, and before long leaves will appear as if by magic.

Even the grass has decided that winter is over, which means that lawn mowers will soon be coming out of hibernation!

We did have a little snow here last week, although thankfully it didn’t last long. Zakk wasn’t happy as it meant postponing his morning walk, he does feel that should never happen under any circumstances!

Despite the occasional reminder that winter is still lurking nearby, there is a definite shift taking place. The chaos of winter weather, along with some very mixed energetic patterns that many of us have been feeling, is gradually giving way to something calmer.

Nature is resetting itself.

And when nature resets, we have the opportunity to do the same.

A simple walk amongst the trees can work wonders. Let the breeze move through the branches and carry away the cobwebs that winter tends to leave behind. A stroll along the beach, breathing in the fresh salty air, can clear the mind and lift the spirit. Even sitting quietly beside a river or stream, watching the water flow steadily past, can bring a sense of peace that is sometimes difficult to find in our busy modern lives.

These places carry their own natural harmony.

If you have the chance, try meditating in these locations. It can be very beneficial as when we sit quietly in nature our minds begin to slow down and our breathing settles. We naturally become more receptive to the subtle energies that surround us.

It can also be a wonderful time to commune with the elementals or to connect with our guides. Messages often come far more easily when we are sitting still in a natural environment, away from the constant noise and distraction of everyday life.

Nature has always been one of the greatest teachers when it comes to balance.

So perhaps take a moment this spring to pause, breathe, and reset your own energy.

Ask that the chaos of the old year be replaced by the calm of the new. Allow old emotional patterns to fall away, just as the trees shed their leaves in autumn.

And like those same trees, allow yourself to grow new energy, new strength, and new possibilities as the year unfolds.
