It is so easy to forget our time in lockdown, we are only a few months on, and already, for many people, the memory is fading away into the background of our busy lives.
But the last 2½ years have not been easy for anyone, and a lot of people have been affected whether mentally, physically or spiritually. This enforced isolation was akin to sensory deprivation.
We were not allowed to see anyone, unless looking through a window, speak to anyone unless on the telephone or via the internet, we were totally disconnected from our family and friends.
As people we are meant to be social, not necessarily sociable, we need that interaction with other humans. If not, there is a chance that we become introspective and not able to motivate ourselves and stagnate.
We are still dealing with the aftermath and potentially will be for many years to come. Children, and especially teenagers, lost two very important years of their lives, and they cannot get them back.
Many people are still finding it difficult to feel safe when leaving their homes, I hope this confidence will quickly return but I do have my doubts.
Artistically wise, the lockdown produced some very interesting music, some of it very uplifting. One of my favourites was, and still is,
‘Tired of Drinking alone by Robert Jon and The Wreck’.

The band emailed their fans and asked them to film themselves singing along to the record, then they took the clips, stitched them together forming a fun video of people enjoying themselves.
I am not encouraging people to drink, honest guv’!. The message, to me, is on the faces of those in the video, it is the time to have fun, with your friends and family, in person.
